Almost certainly not.
Could it do anyone any good that way?
Possibly. There’s evidence that in prehistory, burying or depositing valuables somewhere unreachable was a way of taking them out of circulation, making it impossible for one person to build up disproportionate power.
A better way to solve that problem would have been to simply share it.
Like responsibility, money works best when its distributed and circulating.
